From M6 North or South follow signs to A38M city centre and keep in centre/outside lanes at all times. Do not leave on any slip road. The two outside lanes go over a flyover swinging to right over local roads and roundabout. Look for Aston University and City Fire Station on left. Go through Tunnel marked St Chads and pass directly through second tunnel following signs for A34.
On leaving second tunnel take gap onto slip road and NOT down into next underpass. This slip road sign posted to New Street Station leads to roundabout on top of underpass. Take 4th exit which is a complete circuit of roundabout and head back in the direction you came on the other side of dual carriage way, pass The Mailbox and take next left into Holliday Street. Take first right into Bridge Street. Go past immediate entrance on left to Premier Lodge and The Wharf offices turn left into James Brindley Pub Car Park at the back of the pub and the Hotelboat is moored in front of pub.

The James Brindley car park is now 'pay and display' and is an alternative to The Mailbox car park for guests.

By Train arriving at New Street or Moor Street Stations. Take taxi to James Brindley Pub in Bridge Street off Broad Street next to Hyatt Hotel. The Hotelboat is moored at the front of the pub.
Alternative walking (15 minutes):-
New Street Station. Leave by Victoria Square entrance and turn left down Navigation Street to traffic lights 200 metres. Straight across and under flyover turning right immediate after flyover up pedestrian slip way. Turn left into Holliday Street, then take first right into Bridge Street. Go past immediate entrance on left to Premier Lodge and The Wharf offices turn left into James Brindley Pub Car Park at the back of the pub and the Hotelboat is moored in front of pub.
Moor Street Station. Leave by main station entrance and turn right following signs for Victoria Square down Colmore Row and onto Victoria Square. Continue to walk in pedestrian area past the front of The Council House building with fountains in front. Turn right at the end of the building across a square diagonally with curved steps and enter Paradise Forum to the left of the Library. Walk through the Forum (with MacDonald’s etc) and out into Centenary Square walk diagonally to the left across to Broad Street and cross over at first or second Pelican Crossing with traffic lights. Take first left into Bridge Street with Hyatt Hotel on the opposite corner and take walkway first right into Gas Street Basin down the side of The James Brindley Pub. Our Hotelboat is moored in the front of the pub.
